In late 2005, Nike SB released the Be True To Your School collection to recognize the 20th anniversary of the Dunk High’s debut as a team sneaker for many top college basketball squads. Seven of the nation’s elite college basketball programs were chosen to be part of the Be True To Your School collection. This pair was inspired by the Villanova Wildcats and feature a White and Midnight Navy color scheme. Originally a Nike Basketball sneaker, the Nike Dunk has gone from the hardwood to the plywood of a skate deck in this late 2005 Nike Dunk SB edition. This pair pays homage to the Kentucky Wildcats with a white and sport royal color scheme and leather and suede materials. Nike also put out number of other Be True To Your School editions celebrating the original Nike college basketball squads.

This pair was inspired by the Iowa Hawkeyes and feature a Black and Varsity Maize color scheme.Releasing just a month after their low top counterparts, the De La Soul Highs are unquestionably the most popular pair of the two. The heel features the same graphic seen on the uppers of the De La Lows, which was taken from hip-hop group De La Soul’s first album cove, 3 Feet High and Rising. The toe and lace hole tabs showcase a green cement print made popular by the Air Jordan III’s, greatly complementing the rest of the earthy brown suede shoe. The shoe is finished with a nice copper-colored lining and green accents.

With their third Nike SB collaboration sneaker, Japanese toy company Medicom decided to keep it simple this time around, yet still flashy. They went with a plain silver sneaker, although they added a nice touch with a reflective 3M upper. As all of their previous sneakers were, this version was available in very limited quantities on thier website. The shoe also came with Medicom’s siganture Babekub City shoe bag and a card of authenticity. The second patent leather sneaker of the Banker Series, the purple Avengers bring bring a lot of flare and style. It contains the same, slick pinstripe design on the side panels as seen on the other three sneakers of the pack but was a limited release, as opposed to the normal leather version, which was a general release.
