This mystery Supreme x Nike collaboration is indeed a Nike Dunk High, featuring a red leather upper with a white heel, quilted lining, and Supreme tags on the Swoosh. These have never released to the public and were likely given to friends and family of Supreme. Would you like to see these release one day? After bringing back almost all of the original “Be True To Your School” colorways last year, Nike is now dropping the Dunk High in the classic color block once again, but with all-new colors. Earlier this week we saw a “Violet Dust” shade of purple hit the silhouette, and now we spot another two-tone look in Cargo Khaki—or simply olive green—and white.
The result is a look reminiscent of the “Celtics” colorway in green and white that dropped a few years back. Dunk fans can expect these soon at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike. This is usually the time of year when Nike Sportswear brings back a couple of iconic colorways of the Nike Dunk from the “Be True To Your School” Collection given that the legendary basketball model was the silhouette of choice back in the mid-80s for some of the top collegiate programs during March Madness. But since Nike has basically brought back every colorway from the ‘Be True’ program, NSW is switching things up and bringing back oft-forgotten colorways of the Nike Dunk High like this retro “Violet Dust” option perfect for the Spring 2017 season.
The Nike Dunk High Violet Dust features clean combination of smooth white leather while a plum accent color hits the overlaying panels and Swoosh branding. There’s still no word yet on a Release Date, but stay tuned for more updates in the near future. After almost all of the original “Be True To Your School” Nike Dunk High college colorways released last year, the classic color blocks for the vintage hoops sneaker continue in 2017. This black and white colorway should look extremely familiar if you’re a fan of the Air Jordan 1, as it’s an exact replica of the OG black and white version of MJ’s first shoe from 1985. Dunk fans can find these arriving now at European Nike Sportswear retailers, and soon here in the US.
