The Nike WMNS Air Max Thea is currently in the fourth quarter of its first year. This pair based on Max Air flagships from days gone by is one of the only ladies-only Max runners on record, and given how well it fits in with that early 90s style, it probably won’t be the last. And hopefully this tonal grey edition with the Legend Red hits and Polarized Blue top eyelets won’t be the last colorway either, because this particular layout has a ton of potential across further color schemes.

Not Volt but close to it, the neon-colored Thea comes in a Cyber mesh and synthetic upper with almost tonal Liquid Lime soles and Swooshes. The vibrant Air Max Thea will be on hand at select Nike Sportswear retailers later this spring.The breathable knit material that is Nike’s Jacquard aesthetic is a nice entry level to flyknit, seeing as how the Swoosh doesn’t want to outfit seemingly every silhouette with the technology just yet.
The JCRD movement has hit nearly every major Air Max model, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Nike WMNS Air Max Thea was the latest recipient. We’ve seen a number of patterns hit the upper of the runner (just look at the difference between the Dark Grey/Metallic Silver colorway and this vibrant red look).
